I've had friends and family living in the pacific-northwest for some time now, and every year, around this time, they would post the most amazing pictures of tulip farms. I'd never seen such wonder, and knew that one day I had to get up there during their bloom.
But, instead, I just moved north myself, and didn't have to drive very far to see the tulips in all their colorful glory!
We did have to pay $5 each to get in :| and on Earth Day, nonetheless! David decided it would be worth it if he could find a bunch of free things to do inside. Unfortunately, he was denied access to all the carnival rides, even when using the line, "hey, I already paid ten dollars so my wife could look at some flowers, can you just let me ride this one for free?". Still, he went on looking for other free activities and ended up finding a child-sized cow cart that we pulled each other around in all over the farm. And he discovered free wine tasting at several vendors – although Kasey and I couldn't partake in that free activity.
It was a great time, as usual with this crew :)
So here's to one of the many perks of living in Oregon!
Happy Festing!
