David's birthday weekend didn't just consist of floating on lakes, drinking cold beers, and getting in some much needed vitamin D, it also featured a drive out to the coast to explore a little gem called Trinidad, CA. The fog hung low for an hour or so while we sipped coffee from a local shop and perused the marina. As the fog gently lifted the unique beauty of this little beach town was slowly unveiled. I hope these pictures convince you to check out this town next time you're in the area.
Happy Exploring!

Sometimes it's imperative you drive through the night to end up somewhere magical for sunrise and for David's 24th, that's exactly what we did. 7 hours north of home there's a gem of a camp spot that we discovered lat summer on our north west road trip. We decided that we'd make the drive, even for just a short stay, in order to get our camp fill before we leave for Germany (in two weeks – ahh!). This second visit was even better than the first. Lewiston Lake has definitely become a favorite of ours and I'm looking forward to the many more camp trips to come. There is so much to say about this remarkably beautiful place but with so much on my mind I will let my words be few and allow the photos to tell the story for me.
Happy Camping!
