My husband opened my eyes to this coffee making delight.
It is…
- Quick and easy to use
- Makes coffee strong and flavorful, retaining a smooth taste and texture, without grittiness or sharp tones
- Keeps coffee piping hot during the process (unlike french presses and pour overs)
- Plus, it looks super cool on your kitchen and/or camp stove top
Also, the Bialetti does not over extract, so you don’t have to worry about bitter, unflattering elements messing with your favorite Ethiopian roast.
Unfortunately though, since the process is done on the stove, it can burn your coffee if you aren’t paying attention. Just don’t leave it on the heat too long. You’ll notice a distinct sound, like a loud sputtering noise; that’s when you know its finished and ready to pour.
Besides that one thing, this Italian original is ‘assolutamente meraviglioso’, absolutely marvelous!
Please don’t get me wrong, I haven’t abandoned my old loves.
I’m still thrilled with my french press and my pour over, and I’m learning to love the chemex (even though I prefer my coffee a tad thicker in consistency and bolder in flavor)…
But, this new discovery just adds to the fun and makes you feel a bit more classy and well rounded in your coffee knowledge, world-wide.
So, to all you coffee lovers out there,
If you haven’t tried the Bialetti you should.
And after you do, you should go out and buy one for your home.
Hint: They sell them at Bed, Bath, and Beyond!
Sincerely,
A coffee addict and (wanna-be) connoisseur
Happy Coffee Making!
