PUPDATE

June 15, 2015

Hey ya'll! Today is all about my pup, hence, "pup"date. It's been a while since we talked about this little fluff ball. As you can see, he's as cute as ever. And I know he still looks teeny tiny, but, he has grown quite a bit, weighing in at 5.6 lbs and finally outgrowing the length of my lap, not to mention, he now fits into a dog collar – we had him in a kitten collar for the first 4 months. Even so, I'm pretty sure he's about done growing and will be a forever puppy for life. Here's to you Gus Gus!

10 things about Gus that I think you'll enjoy:

1.  Lately he has been doing this thing where he sticks his tongue out just a tiny bit for about a minute or so. He looks RIDICULOUSLY (emphasis on "ridiculous") cute.

2. He's not completely opposed to dogs anymore, but he definitely prefers human friends.

3. He's known to look exactly like a miniature Ewok when he's running at you.

4. Infamous for finding fallen socks and underwear around the house at least once or twice a day.

5. Loves running around exploring fields, backyards, parks, anything with space to wander – if the grass is tall enough it's like a jungle adventure for him.

6. As strange as it sounds, he's pretty unsure about walks; sometimes he'll just stop and lay down half-way through.

7. He's been stung by a bee already and swallowed some kind of burr that made it hard for him to breathe (By God's grace we didn't have to take him to the vet on either occasion. David and I prayed for the symptoms to cease and for him to fall asleep and both times he did – true story!)

8. He's potty trained to pee on a grass pad, so we never have to take him out to go to the bathroom; it's pretty wonderful as long as I remember to clean it often.

9. Already outgrowing regular dog toys, soon we'll have to get him more advanced ones...

10. This little rascal drives me crazy and has completely, 100% stolen my heart – the cheesy and terrible truth.

To see his growth go here.
